Ranveer Singh took his pants off for Happy Budday song from Kill Dil

The Happy Budday song from Kill Dil made Ranveer Singh take off his pants.                                Happy Budday is the birthday song in the film where Ranveer Singh sings at Parineeti Chopra's birthday party. The song was shot in Lavasa at night and it was very hot, around 40 degrees at that time. Owing to the heat, Ranveer Singh, who was wearing leather pants for the song, removed them as the heat got to him and was making him extremely uncomfortable.
A pantless Ranveer was quite a sight for many present and created a huge commotion. 200 girls who were dancers in the song, started cat calling and whistling at Ranveer. Hearing the noise, people came to their windows to see what the commotion was about. The unit had to run around taking everybody's, cell phones and delete the pictures.

Sonali Cable Box Office report: First two day total stands at Rs 30 lakhs

The Rhea Chakravarty and Ali Fazal starrer Sonali Cable does not seem to be faring well at the Box Office.                                                                                                                                                  According to a report in Koimoi.com, the movie which released on 17th October, had a very slow and poor opening on the first day itself, collecting only 14 lakhs.                                                           Further to reports, the film collected 16 lakhs on Saturday (18th October) and the total domestic Box Office collection stands at a total of 30 lakhs. The film has not been able to pick up through word of mouth publicity.                                                                                                             Directed by Charudutt Acharya, the film was not heavily promoted and the music has also been average. This could be one of the reasons why the film had a slow start at the box office. Ali Fazal was last seen inBobby Jasoos which too did not fare well at the box office. Rhea Chakraborty was last seen in Mere Dad Ki Maruti which too didn't seem to click too well with audiences.

Shah Rukh Khan does not read reviews

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has confessed he stays away from reading film reviews and catches them only if they are funny.                                                                                                "I don't read reviews (not taking away from the importance of reviews)," SRK told mediapersons here Wednesday.                                                                                                                                       "I have a sense of humour and most of the time my sense of humour is about how I can make fun of myself, about 70 percent of the time, and 30 percent of the time it is about making fun of others.
Over the last two years, he has become not just the biggest musician of Bollywood, but is truly loved by people. He is a workaholic and has had no time for himself these past few years. The sad news is that his health has now caught up with him and he has been advised complete bed rest for two months, failing which he could land himself in serious problems. Honey got married to Shalini Talwar on January 23, 2011 and lives with her in Delhi.
Shalini spoke exclusively for the first time to us about him and said, "Since July, Honey has had a lot of health issues due to physical stress. I have seen him past 10 years working so hard all the time composing music. He has a lot of work and wants to do so much, but right now he is not able to cope up with it. He needs to be on complete bed rest cut off from the world for at least 45 days. He doesn't like being at home or out of work. But his blood pressure has been fluctuating, his heart beat is not good and doctors have asked him to be completely at peace, on vacation doing nothing. He has, of course, been allowed to compose music on his laptop. He is in Delhi with all of us, me, his parents and his sister. It's very tough for him to accept that he is not well, so we have to keep the pressure on him to rest. His body is weak and his health is priority, so he needs to completely rest, despite any commitments he may have."                                                          Anyone who has known Honey can tell you that he is a fine human being with tonnes of talent and there is nothing in the world that can hold him back from returning to his first love, that of being an entertainer. We pray for Honey's good health and are sure that this rockstar will return to us very soon.

Ali Zafar: Aditya Chopra suggested Shaad Ali to cast me as Tutu in Kill Dil!
Ali Zafar is back with another film this year, Kill Dil. This YRF production venture has created a lot of buzz ever since its promos came out. His character Tutu has received a lot of rave reviews because of the specific look and the dialect. So we caught up with Ali recently and asked him as to how he ended up doing a YRF film, because he has generally been associated with newer production houses.
The ace musician turned actor opened up and informed that it was his dedication towards his previous projects that led to him getting better offers and finally his dream of working with such a big production house became a reality. But he has always been playing the hero in romcoms. When he read the script did he see himself play such a dark and raw character? We ask…
The actor said, “It was Aditya Chopra who suggested Shaad Ali to cast me as Tutu in Kill Dil. I credit him fully for thinking me in that raw and greyish shade because I had never seen myself in such a role. As an actor I want to be very versatile and want to do a variety of roles and not restrict myself to anything specific.”
The film has been riding high on the popularity meter. Ali Zafar along with Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh have been getting a lot of praise for their acting in Kill Dil. Wethinks Adi has a good sense of casting and it will be great to see Ali in such a new light. What do you think BollywoodLifers?

Lisa Haydon: I slept off midway while watching the original Shaukeen!
Lisa Haydon was on the top of her game ever since Queen happened. So was Rati Agnihotri when she did Shaukeen in 1982. Lisa is back with another film this year,The Shaukeens, which is a remake of the cult 1982 film. Lisa plays the central character in the film, which was originally portrayed by Rati. We caught up with the leggy lass and chatted about whether or not the two characters are similar. Here’s what she had to say…                                                                                                                                  “I have not seen the original movie full. My dad downloaded it a few days back. It was very late in the night when I started watching it. I was falling asleep so I just fast forwarded it till the part when Rati Agnihotri comes and I saw the movie till half and then dozed off.” Now we can credit that to her tiredness and hectic schedule that she slept off. Wethinks in no way would she have slept off had she been in her fully jolly spirits. Also the Rascals actress was all praise for Rati who, Lisa thought, played her part fabulously.
Lisa says,”Rati Agnihotri was fantastic in the film and I completely loved her part. However, my character Ahana is very different from her’s.” We too hope that there is some difference between the original and the remake so that actors are able to add in their personal flavour to their parts. We are desperately waiting for the film to release. What about you BollywoodLifers?

Happy New Year box office collection: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer collects Rs 137 crore!

Farah Khan’s latest outing Happy New Year has already broken quite a few box office records and has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark as well. After witnessing an earth shattering opening at the ticket windows, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer went on to rake in big moolah over the weekend too. In fact, the film grossed Rs 108.66 crore only in three days and became the fastest to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club. However, on Monday the collections saw a dip as HNY earned around Rs 15 crore. And on Tuesday the scenario was pretty much the same. Farah’s directorial venture, which also features Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah, minted approximately Rs 13 crore on its fifth day (Tuesday).
This means the total domestic box office collection of Happy New Year now stands at Rs 137 crore (approximately).  Though on Monday and Tuesday the box office figures weren’t huge, we are pretty sure HNY will continue to do good business at the ticket windows as no big film is releasing in coming days.
